Global's bread knife is one our favorite knives in the Global cutlery line. The serrated 8 3/4" Global bread knife blade does a terrific job on any bread, even some of the crustier rustic loaves or harder Italian breads. The Global bread knife also works well with other items when a serrated knife is an advantage.

Global knives are made from the finest stainless steel material. The Global knives blades utilize Vanadium / Molybdenum stainless steel, ice tempered and then hardened to Rockwell C56-58 which holds a sharp knife edge longer than most steel and resists corrosion, rust or stains. The smooth contours of a Global knife and seamless construction eliminate dirt & food traps, leading to a hygenic and more food-safe knife. The first Global knives were designed in 1985 by Komin Yamada who was tasked to create a new modern knife with the best performance possible. With carte blanche he was to design a series of kitchen knives which would appeal to the professional and amateur chef alike, be comfortable and easy to handle, and meet their most demanding requirements. Global knives are made in Japan.
