The improved Tungsten alloy in Mac Superior knifes gives a longer lasting edge and makes sharpening easier. High Carbon Molybdenum Vanadium alloy includes Tungsten Carbide, making it sharper, harder, and more durable. Mac knives, like most high quality knives are not recommended for dishwasher use
